December, 2020 –
YMS addressed Trnava’s Center for children and families (CDR/CCF) with an offer of regularly donating computes, laptops, monitors and small hardware, that no longer works for the team of IT specialists in YMS due to performance or capacity. For everyday use for kids that don’t have easy access to computers, however, it is in perfect condition.
The first 10 pieces of computer technology, computers, monitors and laptops, were delivered by Mr. Mikuláš Szapu to the deputy director of the center, Ms. Martina Kukučkova and social worker Mr. Josef Lužák as a Christmas present for the kids. As he said: “YMS worked with an orphanage in Necpaly in the past, and we used to offer creations of these children at our corporate events. We would like to return to a long-term cooperation, and this time it will involve children from our hometown, Trnava.”

“We want to thank you for your support in the year 2020. Thanks also to your help we managed to improve the care conditions in our center. Especially during the year 2020, we had many challenges in regards to the pandemic situation. We had to acquire equipment to allow long distance education for the children and improve the technical options to let kids communicate with loved ones during a time where their visits, due to the epidemiological situation in CDR/CCF, weren’t allowed (laptops, tables, smartphones). Also thanks to you we were able to respond adequately to these challenges.” wrote Ms. Martina Krchňáková, director of the center, in an official thank you to the organization YMS. As the situation with the increased need for technology persists, YMS will continue to support children.
Center for children and families cares for 40 children in three units, for surrogate families with 22 families and provides assistance and advice to people interested in adopting or surrogate parenting.
